The Practice

Steadfast Wellness Center is a mental health and wellness center focused on delivering individualized mental health and wellness care by means of counseling, assessment & screening, specialty testing, medication (natural and pharmaceutical), coaching, consultation, education, and more.

We look for ways to boost your mental and physical health with natural and functional optimization FIRST. We will look at lifestyle factors, non-pharmaceutical integrative and complementary strategies, and traditional medication options. We prioritize the former, but don’t neglect the latter when it can help. We will research, inform, educate, and will tailor treatment plans to your individual situation and preferences.

If you are looking for a whole-person approach to mental health then you’ve come to the right place.

We will come alongside to listen, support, visit what you desire to work through, work with you on your priorities and goals, and provide evidenced-based recommendations to help you reach your health and wellness goals.

Meet the Team

We’re glad you’re here!

  • Founder

I am a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner. It’s been a lifelong passion of mine to support others in their mental and physical health. I’ve had my own run ins with trauma, addictions, and loss of loved ones to substance abuse and mental health and have come full circle to carry that experience and resilience to help others. My experiences include substance abuse & rehabilitation, critical care, education, and community behavioral health.

I believe we live best when we are mindful of what we put into our mind, body, and soul, and what we put out through movement, service, and collaboration. Why settle when you can optimize your inputs and outputs and strive for better?

I have a Bachelor’s in Biblical Counseling, a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Washington as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner specializing in acute, complex, and chronic care, and a post-graduate certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Alongside my work at Steadfast Wellness Center I also serve those with serious mental illness at a local community behavioral health center.

My faith is a light for my path and informs my life. I am happy to integrate faith into sessions, yet I respect people’s autonomy for those who do not resonate with a similar faith.

In my free time you can find me loving my wife and children, enjoying my community, chasing fish, and planning the next outdoor adventure or DIY project.

  • Counseling Intern

Being of help to others has long been a passion of mine, but especially after my own life-changing experience of receiving counseling in my early twenties during a time of personal crisis. Since these years, I have felt called to use my life to support others in their own pursuits of emotional and relational wholeness and have had the great joy of doing so in a number of settings. I believe that you are alive for a reason, and that when we are able to see the experiences of our lives through a purposeful lens, we can experience strength, hope, and deep invigoration.

I have been on this journey professionally in counseling contexts for the past 7 years, working with children, teens, families, and adults throughout the lifespan. My clients have been individuals and families who are in churches, residential facilities, or receiving community mental health services. I have completed training programs in Biblical Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Logotherapy. I am a certified Neuroscience Informed Therapist and Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Practitioner. I have also completed a Masters Degree in Developmental Trauma at the Karyn Purvis Institute (housed at Texas Christian University), and am currently completing an additional Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My own life of faith is a passionate pursuit of mine, though if you desire to separate the topic of faith practice from our counseling sessions, that would create no difficulty for us. I have worked with individuals who share a variety of beliefs, and many vastly different from my own.

When I am not working at Steadfast, I delight in time spent with my wife and reflecting on life with my friends. I love all things basketball, being outside, and tracking down my next book to read.
